QUE has now been online for 5 years. During this time you have come to appreciate our art to wear and other home accessories made available through the many collections designed during this time. Some of these wearable art pieces have been exclusively available through this website while others have also been available either from the former QUE Boutique Shop in Valletta or the Valletta Contemporary art gallery shop, among others.
It is therefore fitting that we release a special collection to mark the fifth anniversary since QUE became available online.
QUE is overjoyed to be in a position to offer you art for your home by Enriquè Tabone. We’ve all found ourselves spending much more time at home than usual over the past few months. This gives us a new opportunity to appreciate new ways to bring beauty into our living spaces.
Following a line first developed for the Pre-Herstory series, which was exhibited at Spazju Kreattiv between February and August this year, Enriquè has created a series of unique line drawings from studies of the human form.
This is the first time that drawings by this artist are being sold online.
The human body is the main subject of this series. The aesthetic approach presented here is a minimalistic one, based on a long-established technique of line drawing.
In this series, the artist uses a calligraphy pen to let the black ink flow into a set of as few lines as possible to present figures with which we can relate, in one way or another.
Some of the figures appear alone. Others appear alone with others. Either one or more other bodies appear still, resting, or poised in a way that still full of life. These drawings are a simple celebration of human life.
The heart of this collection is in the drawings themselves. You can extend your appreciation of these original works by bringing these unique designs into your home in other ways. More on this soon.
By bringing the art of Enriquè Tabone into your home you’re also buying into the minimalist style that she has picked for this series. This collection of art for your home can show that you appreciate the simpler things in life, which on closer inspection are certainly not as simple as they may seem at first glance.
